July 2010: USA is A-OK!

Happy July everyone! This month we celebrate the birthday of our great country (Happy birthday, America!) and we also recognize that while the start of summer happened a month ago, it really feels like summer now. One of the great things about living in America outside of being able to own a gun simply because our forefathers thought it was a right, is that we are rarely limited or restricted from doing things. We can believe in any religion we choose and it's acceptable. We can say whatever we want without fear of punishment from our government. We can wear whatever clothes we want or eat the foods we choose. So in addition to focusing this month's issue on things pertaining to making your 4th even more fun with a how-to on building your own target stands, recipe on making good old fashioned burgers, and featuring a very fun product in the awesome accessories, Star Targets, I am also trying to stick with a theme of "variety" in our segments.

I hope everyone has a happy and safe 4th of July and gets in lots of great summer shooting. If you don't have fireworks, make sure you have exploding targets! They're more fun! For now, here's a teaser of Star Targets when we went out shooting in Reno, NV with the Women's Shooting Academy crew. Here's one of the instructors, Hanae Mansfield shooting her AR at a Star Target.
